Had a bit of a “off-road” adventure with our 991.1 triggered by a coupke of deer. Turned out the insurance company wanted the car more than me, so went back on the hunt for a new GT car. A Touring has always been on my bucket list, but the price of admission was just too high for me to initially justify. So when this car car up, it ticked all the boxes but one- price. After a little mental debate (lasted about 5.2 minutes) i decided it was too good to pass on. The details- 1400 miles, not a ton of options, near full PPF (has since been made bullet proof), not a blemmish and Certified. Within the first 3 miles, it was immeditaly appearant that this car is more “Porsche” than PDK cars feel. Best to describe as PDK is a CNC machine working tolerances down to .001 inch, while the 6spd is like machining by hand on a vintage Bridgeport mill. There’s more thought and engagement with the 3 pedal cars and frankly I LOVE it. As others have written, Icould care less that on paper its slower than the paddle cars, it is simply more enjoyable to drive.
